Mit dem dritten Tag war leider auch schon das Ende unserer kurzen Reise gekommen, aber dank der grandiosen Abflugzeit erst 22:30 Uhr Abends hatten wir noch noch den ganzen Tag Zeit zum Entspannen. Unter anderem am Pool auf dem Dach unseres Hotels. Trotz des einmaligen Ausblicks über S’Arenal war der Pool nie stark frequentiert, sodass es immer relativ ruhig zuging. Relaxed wurde am und im Wasser, unter anderem mit der aktuellen Ausgabe der Tush, des Interview Magazines und des H&M Magazines, welches ich schon seit Wochen herumliegen hatte aber nie Zeit gefunden habe, darin zu schmökern. Endlich hatte ich einmal Zeit dafür! Hach, ich liebe Urlaub.

The third and last day of our holidays came much too fast, but because of the very late departure at 22:30 we had the whole day left for relaxing and enjoying the sun. Which we did for example at the roof top of our hotel: They built up a tiny swimming pool up there and the view was breathtaking! Because of this fact, I expected many people to be there, but sometimes we were the only ones – maybe they preferred the beach. We chilled out nearby and inside the water and I spent some time reading the latest issues of Tush, Interview and H&M Magazines. I had them on my desk for some weeks but didn’t have the time to read. Which I now had finally. Oh how I love holidays!

Im nächsten Post bekommt ihr dann noch ein Outfit und ein wenig vom Strand zu sehen, und das war’s dann leider auch schon wieder mit Urlaubsimpressionen. In Sachen Urlaub treten wir dieses Jahr ein wenig kürzer – deshalb gab es in diesem Jahr bisher “nur” zwei Wochenend-Kurztrips (für Urlaubsfreaks wie uns ist das wirklich wenig! ;) ), die beide sehr viel Spaß gemacht haben und sich letztendlich viel länger angefühlt haben als knapp drei Tage. Paris im Sommer wird dann unser großes Highlight, für das ich jetzt noch ein wenig sparen muss. Zuvor kommt aber noch das nächste Event, auf das ich mich schon riesig freue: Die Fashion Week Berlin im Juli!

In the next post, I’ll show you a last outfit from Spain and some pictures of the beach, and sadly that’s it. That’s everything I have for you from these three days full of sun and pleasure. As you may have noticed, we “only” did two short trips (which is really quite unusual for travelmaniacs like us! ;) ) which were lots of fun and felt a bit longer than a weekend actually. But Paris this summer will be our big highlight and I need to save up a little bit. And before there’s another event I’m looking forward to: Fashion Week Berlin in July!

An unserem zweiten Tag auf dem schönen Mallorca verschlug es uns per Fahrrad entlang der Küste von S’Arenal nach Palma, der Hauptstadt der Mittelmeerinsel. Eine Mini-Vorschau unsres Ausflugs habt ihr ja bereits in meinem letzten Post bekommen. Eine kleine Fahrradtour ist mittlerweile fester Bestandteil unserer Kurztrips geworden (nicht zuletzt wegen grandioser Leihsysteme wie Velib’ oder Valenbisi). So kann man sich nicht nur kostengünstig und umweltfreundlich von A nach B bewegen, sondern sieht auch noch ziemlich viel von Land und Leuten!

On our second day at beautiful Mallorca, we went for a little cycling tour along the coast. We started in S’Arenal and headed for Palma, the capital of this island in the mediterranian sea. You already got a little sneak peak from our tour in my last post. A little tour by bike has become a main part on short travels (which is also thanks to great rental systems as Velib’ or Valenbisi). This is such a nice opportunity to go from A to B quite low-cost and eco-friendly – and you’ll also see so much more at your holiday location!

Wie schon bei unserem ersten Aufenthalt auf der Insel nutzten wir den Tag für einen großen Rundgang durch Palma. Beim Thema Shopping hab ich mich diesmal sehr zurückgehalten. Das war auch bitter nötig, denn vor allem die Modeketten Mango und Zara ist in Spanien viel günstiger, als in Deutschland. Bei letzterem entdeckte ich ein wunderschönes Kleid für 30% weniger als hierzulande (wer mir auf Instagram folgt, hat es vielleicht schon entdeckt ;) ), das ich einfach mit nach Hause nehmen musste.

Nach diesem kleinen Zwischenstop ließen wir es ruhig angehen und spazierten durch die sonnigen Straßen der Stadt. Vorbei am Jardin de s’Hort del Rei, der Kathedrale La Seu und dem Plaza Mayor ging es dann nach ein paar Stunden wieder zurück zu unseren Bikes, um den Heimweg zum wohlverdienten Nass – sprich: Meer und Pool – anzutreten, denn mittlerweile war es ganz schön heiß geworden.

Like on our first stay on the island, we used the day for a long promenade through Palma. When it comes to shopping, I was quite reasonable this time, even though it was hard not to buy the whole collection of the Zara store – in Spain, it’s much cheaper to shop at Mango or Zara than in Germany. Talking about Zara – I found there the perfect summer dress and it costed 30% less than here. I couldn’t resist buying it. If you follow me on instagram, you might have already seen a preview :D

After this short stop we went for a relaxed promenade through the sunny streets of the city. We passed the Jardin de s’Hort del Rei, the huge Cathedral La Seu and of course Plaza Mayor, before we headed back to our bicycles to drive back again – as it became really hot in the city, we were so looking forward to jump into the sea and the pool.

Seit gestern Nacht sind wir wieder aus unserem dreitägigen Kurzurlaub auf Mallorca zurück. Natürlich gibt es viel zu erzählen und wie immer haben wir einen ganzen Haufen toller Fotos geknipst. Die nächsten Tage bekommt ihr hier also meine Eindrücke zu sehen/lesen.

We arrived at home yesterday night after our three-days-holidays on Mallorca. Of course there’s much to tell you and as usual, we took loads of nice photos. In the next days, I’ll show you my photos and write about my impressions.

Vom ersten Tag gibt es nicht allzu viel zu berichten: Wir sind erst gegen frühem Abend auf der schönen Insel gelandet. Begrüßt wurden wir gleich von einer Menge Palmen und herrlich blauem, wolkenfreien Himmel – Urlaubsstimmung ließ nicht lange auf sich warten. Nach dem Bezug unseres Hotelzimmers in S’Arenal und einem leckeren Abendessen machten wir noch einen langen Spaziergang am Strand und haben einen wahnsinnig tollen Sonnenuntergang beobachten können: Der Küstenstreifen liegt nämlich praktischerweise so, dass die Sonne genau über dem Meer untergeht. Herrlich.

Natürlich weiß ich selber um das Party-Image der Insel, die oft ausschließlich mit lauten Ballermann-Touristen in Verbindung gebracht wird. Klar, es gibt sehr viele Diskotheken und Bars, für mich bleibt die Insel aber vor allem ein sonniger Ort der Erholung und des ausgiebigen Strand-Feelings.

There’s not too much to tell about our first day, as we landed only in the early evening on the beautiful island. We were welcomed by many palmtrees and a cloudless, blue sky – immediate increase of holiday feeling! After moving into our hotel room in S’Arenal and having a delicious dinner, we went for a long promenade along the beach and watched a stunning sundown: As the coast heads in a westward direction, the sun goes down right above the sea. Perfect.

I know for sure the stereotyped thinking about loud party animals, strolling from one bar to another on the so called “ballermann”. I don’t think about the island in this naive way. I really apprechiate the mediterranean feeling of this calm island. A perfect place to relax and spend some sunny hours at the beach.
